The goal of our website is to:

Provide a public directory of active DOT Qualified Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) with whom individuals who has violated the DOT's Drug and Alcohol Regulations can contact to begin the Return-to-Duty process.

Create a membership community and for SAP's, Employers/DERs, Education and Treatment Providers to learn and collaborate while adhering to best practices, ethics, and regulations.

Help spread information and knowledge to the public on the importance of public safety and supporting education and treatment for the transportation workforce.

Membership on our site and Directory Listing does not mean we endorse the members services or competence. It is always on the individual requiring SAP services or Employer seeking a SAP as a service agent to ensure they are selecting a qualified SAP.

DOT SAPs does not act as an intermediary between potential client's and listed SAPs and therefore has no financial gains per potential client.

Should a site visitor reach out to us directly, we send them to the Directory filtered by their state.
By using our site, SAPs agree to:

comply with all regulations within 49 CFT Part 40 Subpart O.

maintain active DOT SAP Qualification. Should you cease to have active qualification you must immediately notify us and end your subscription.

not use this site to attempt to find relationships with employers and education and treatment providers that violate the limits on a SAP's discretion in referring employees for education and treatment (DOT Rule 49 CFR Part 40 Section 40.299 | US Department of Transportation).
By using our site, employers and DERs agree to:

not leverage their role to enter into relationships with SAP's or Education/Treatment Providers that violate federal regulations or other ethical practices. Should we become informed of unethical practices, we will immediately contact relevant certification and/or licensing boards.

not attempt to hold the DOT SAPs site responsible for issues they encounter with SAPs or Education/Treatment Providers that they find on our site. It is ultimately up to employers/DERs to verify qualifications and certification standards directly.
By becoming a member, Education and Treatment Providers agree to:

not attempt to engage in relationships with employers or SAP's by offering "kickbacks", referral bonuses, other financial gains, or conflict-of-interest relationships.

not contact SAPs or Employers/DER's if they ask you not to.
Should we become informed of unethical practices or violations of our terms, we will immediately contact relevant certification and/or licensing boards and end your access to our site.
